Join us for a fun, hands-on welding experience where you'll create your very own piece of metal art to take home — no experience needed. This is a creative making day, not a trade skills course — just a brilliant day out welding, grinding and crafting something beautiful in metal.

Workshop Details

Duration: Approximately 5-6 hours
Location: Our Northumberland workshop based in Alnwick
Skill Level: Beginner-friendly, no experience required
Group Size: Small groups for personalized attention
What's Included: All materials, equipment, and safety gear provided. Tea, coffee and light refreshments included. Lunch is not included but there are many fabulous cafes and shops within walking distance

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need any prior experience?
No - this workshop is designed for complete beginners. We'll guide you through everything step by step to make a piece of finished metal art

What should I wear?
Wear comfortable, close-toed shoes and clothing that covers your arms and legs. We provide all safety equipment including welding helmets and gloves. Long hair should be tied back.

What will I make?
You'll create your own horseshoe owl piece during the workshop, which you can take home with you. If there is sufficient time there will be the option to make other items. If you prefer to make an alternative item please discuss in advance

Is there an age requirement?
Participants must be 18 years or older.

Can I purchase this as a gift?
Absolutely - we also offer gift vouchers if you'd prefer to give the experience as a gift without booking a specific date.

What's your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Please also note that this workshop is subject to a minimum number of participants — in the unlikely event we need to cancel, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered an alternative date or a full refund.

It won't let me book the number of slots I require?
This may be due to some of the spaces already being booked. Please contact us directly and we can also add additional dates at mutually convenient times.
